You may have been browsing this site and thought, "Being a part of IEEE seems to be a great idea
but How do I join?" Well all of the questions that you may have about becoming a member can be answered right here. Below are some of the common
questions about joining IEEE. Some of these questions you may have asked yourself and some you may not have. But you can be assured that if you read these questions you will have your answers.

- Question: I want to explore the options that IEEE has to offer but how do I join?
- Answer: In order to become a member you can sign up by visiting IEEE's Website.
Once you
enter the site look for the link that says Membership. On that page you will see a link under the membership menu that says Join IEEE.
- Question: How much does it cost to join?
- Answer: The cost to join is $30.
- Question: How long does this membership last?
- Answer: The membership lasts for a year and the next year the amount of $30 is the same.
- Question: Since this is an engineering group isn't it mostly geared towards the male population?
- Answer: IEEE is open to everyone. Although the engineering field is prodominantly male,
it does not mean that females do not play important roles in this field.
IEEE caters to both male and female. There are things to do for both genders, but it is up to the female population to make the choice about membership.
- Question: I heard about the trips that IEEE members take but what kinds of trips are they?
- Answer: IEEE members have the opportunity to go out of state and meet other
members of the same organization and
from other groups. Trips range from conferences, competitions (i.e"Robotics"), and touring other states.
- Question: If you join a club that sponsor's IEEE is it manadatory to pay $30?
- Answer: No, clubs that sponsor IEEE do not require you join unless you are a ranking
officer. You can still participate in activities without a membership.
